The survey was ethically approved by Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and adheres to institutional and national research standards. The dataset comprises two components: * Raw survey data collected directly from participants. * JISC analytical outputs, including aggregated statistics and visualisations derived from the raw data. Key Information Data Collection Method: Online survey distributed through JISC’s platform, targeting participants across academic and professional sectors. Ethical Approval: Granted by LJMU’s Research Ethics Committee. Data Characteristics: Anonymous responses * Mixed-format data (quantitative Likert-scale responses and qualitative open-text feedback) * Includes demographic metadata (e.g., role, sector, familiarity with deepfakes) * JISC-generated analysis includes summary statistics, response distributions, and thematic coding of qualitative responses. Data can be accessed in Excel. There is also a PDF file of Survey Analysis Citation Information If you are referencing this dataset, please use the following citation format: Mac Dermott, A. (2025).
