LJMU Research Data Repository is the university’s institutional repository where you, as an LJMU researcher, can safely deposit and store research data. LJMU Research Data Repository is linked to Symplectic, the LJMU research publications system. The LJMU Research Data Repository serves as the University's institutional repository, offering a secure platform for researchers you to deposit and store your research data.
Making your research data available via LJMU’s Research Data Repository can facilitate new research and collaborative partnerships as well as enhance the impact and visibility of your research. It may help reduce the cost of replicating data collection and offers a safe and secure storage space for your work. You will be provided with a permanent and stable DOI for your dataset(s) if not previously published elsewhere and may increase your citation and download count.
Data stored in the LJMU Research Data Repository can be freely accessed online and is discoverable through search engines. All data should be accompanied by a readme file Research data and records should be accurate, complete, authentic, reliable and FAIR data principles should be followed. In instances where certain data is not suitable for immediate sharing due to commercial or copyright restrictions, it can still be securely stored in the repository until an appropriate time when any by adding an embargo. Data will be made open access, once the embargo date has passed.
