This experimental script, and the associated files were employed in a research study in the Effort Lab (www.effortlab.website) facilities at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) between 2016 and 2018.
In the study, participants completed a speech-in-noise task under 4 levels of listening demand, while their physiological responses were recorded. Participants had to listen to short stories presented in various levels ofbackground noise (depending on the listening demand condition) then answer a comprehension question about the story with 3 multiple choice options. For further details of the experiment, please contact Michael Richter (m.richter@ljmu.ac.uk, m.richter2020@outlook.com), or Kate Slade (k.slade2@lancaster.ac.uk) or read the methods description in the associated paper.
