Abstract
An international printmaking exchange that connects studios, collectives, and academic print groups. Artists produce editions of 25 prints which are exchanged and exhibited within a global printmaking network.
Barbican Estate is a risograph print by Dr Carlos Santos Barea that explores how Brutalist architecture and social housing in the UK continue to shape youth and urban culture, providing a lasting influence on music, art, and society. The work forms part of an ongoing portfolio emerging from the author’s thesis, which investigates the limits of freedom of expression in relation to rap music, sociology, and contemporary urban ecologies.
